The mechanism that holds the top open at 90 degrees is on the outside the case, at the hinges, so there's no internal retention mechanism that might end up scratching your goods. This case holds my compact camera, three converter lenses, and two filters perfectly.
Reviewed on 2008-03-15Perfect for Rode VideoMic I'm amazed that Rode doesn't make a carrying case for its (very popular) VideoMic. I e-mailed them about it and they confirmed. So if you've got one and you're interested in protecting your investment, this hard case is the EXACT right size to hold the VideoMic, two backup 9-volt batteries and a set of earbud (or folding) headphones. It's smaller than you think and isn't bulky at all to carry over the shoulder along with an additional bag.
