Explore One Large, Seamless, Living World with Travel Freedom Throughout:
Players will travel through the steamy violent streets of Miami to the
irie Islands of the Florida Keys, the Bahamas and various other locales
smuggling drugs, avoiding rivals and the DEA as they rebuild a fallen
empire.
Layered Character Interaction System: Players will have both an
aggressive and passive mode of character interaction to procure
information, negotiate business deals, intimidate those around them or
escalate into a battle as they encounter a world full of seedy and
dangerous characters. While exploring the world, players will encounter a
multitude of characters and will engage in a variety of conversations
that will allow them to dig deeper into the character of Tony Montana and
the Scarface world.
Blind Rage Mode: Gamers will experience the explosive personality of Tony
as they wage battle against enemies attempting to do him harm. Tony
Montanas "moral code" of the streets has been implemented into the
gameplay features, making a true authentic experience for fans of the
property. Just like Tony, players will not be able to cause collateral
damage to women, children and NPCs.
Variety of Vehicles: Travel through the city in various motor vehicles
and smuggle contraband to and from various locals with a variety of ocean
and air vehicles.
Variety of Weapons: Tonys arsenal of weaponry includes an assortment of
ranged, placed and melee weapons to engage in battle.
Vehicle Combat: Players shoot weapons from a variety of vehicles to

same as gta
this was okay but its like GTA but with a crazy spanish dude. Ive gotten board of this game quickly, your just running around like a maniac and blowing stuff up well that's how he is, but it was okay the story mode was okay to but it gotten boring after awhile like GTA games all you doing is blowing stuff up and shooting and beating up other people and the police gets envoled then they start chaseing you, thats it that really gets boring but this was an okay game. | | Reviewed on 2008-04-28

Live out your Scar-fantasies
This game is a respectable use of the Scarface license. If you have always wanted to have your enemies "Say hello to your little friend" then this game is for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for a lot of innovation and a unique game play experience... you won't find quite so much here.
While I must say there were enough unique elements in this game to hold my interest, I couldn't help getting the feeling I was playing just another Grand Theft Auto. Sure, everything had a Scarface theme to it, but when you get right down to it the bulk of the game was running/driving around town completing various missions to unlock additional areas to explore in exactly the same fashion of good ol' GTA.
Unfortunately, that's about all that can be said. I wish I could go on about how cool the "Heat" concept was, or how making drug deals and supply runs was innovative but the reality is, this is GTA with a fairly good voice over/impression of Pacino's Tony Montana.
Pros:
-Fun to "be" Tony Montana
-Interesting "Exotics" that can be used to "pimp" your mansion.
-Minor innovations like "Blind Rage" and "Driver" that improved upon the GTA concept
Cons:
-Mission difficulty jumps wildly from mind-bogglingly easy to tear-your-hair-out frustratingly hard.
-Fairly repetitive
-A fair amount of glitches (not riddled with them, but enough to warrant mention here) | |
