Someone needed to give it a 3!
I agree with the people on the lower number reviews in that, over time, I noticed that this router tended to drop the signal and had to be reset. by the time I got fed up, it was happening about once a week.
On the other hand, all the other routers I have tried in my house have some strange little quirks, too, and it wasn't all that hard to unplug it, count to 10 and plug it back in.
On the plus side, it was really inexpensive (Amazon's price is pretty high for this thing), easy to figure out, and the bridge mode and other little features have been really sweet. I rebuild Macs and other computers out in my garage, and I was hating running a 30-ft wire out there just so I could get online with things as I was installing. With bridge mode engaged (and that has not dropped out on me yet, BTW), I can plug in just about any computer and get online right away. I don't think I would buy it again to use as my primary router (nothing I've ever used beats a Belkin N1), but it is a handy and relatively low-cost addition to my "tool set." |  | Reviewed on 2008-01-09
Drops Connections with Apple Equipment
I used it for about a month to connect an Apple MacBook and an Airport Express to it. The wifi connection was frequently dropped, on average about once every 30 minutes. Updating the firmware did not fix the problem. I replaced it with a Linksys WRT54G and that router works perfectly. So I blame the Zyxel router. Needs Restarting every single day
This router was easy to setup out of the box. However, out of the box, I needed to restart this router at least every few days. My internet connection seems to fail every few days, with restarting the router fixing the problem. After a year of use, this router needs restarting literally any time I turn the computer off.
Now my routine when going home is this: turn on computer, go to router, unplug router, and plug in router, because the internet never ever works anymore just turning the computer on. The router must be reset every day.

Good little router
I've used Zyxel equipment in the past and have had good experience with them. This router fits in with that profile. I really like Zyxel brand routers. The menu/user interface is great. You don't have to install any software, just point your web browser to the router's IP address and away you go. Very easy to configure (for me anyway) and works great. Just like all consumer grade routers though you might have to restart it every once in a while. I'd say that I restart mine only once a month though. | | Reviewed on 2007-02-23
Drops unused IPs after several days
We use the Zyxel P-330W in bridge mode as a LAN extension for local wireless notebooks, but not for WAN access, firewalling or any of the other extended features. Our local net is all fixed IP. Used in this configuration the P-330W is a good performer. It loses track of the IP address for a computer that has not been turned on for several days and when this happens sometimes has to be power-cycled to rebuild the routing tables.
