Bringing together a total of 40 characters from 11 different games from developer SNK, NeoGeo Battle Coliseum was pretty ahead of its time in terms of bringing together multiple characters from several different properties.
The original version of the game had been in arcade systems since 2005 prior to coming to Xbox and a lot of fans have a large sense of nostalgia when it comes to the game. If you’re looking for a more traditional, classic fighting game experience, NeoGeo Battle Coliseum is for you.

Platforming games have been a major genre in the video game industry for decades now and all these years later, developers are still finding ways to reinvent and reimagine the concepts that have brought the genre to the forefront. Originally brought to consoles in 2019, The King’s Bird has been heavily praised for its vibrant atmosphere and gorgeous atmosphere.
Beyond the impressive visuals, The King’s Bird offers satisfying, physics-based platforming mechanics that perfectly coincide with the aforementioned visuals. The story of The King’s Bird centers around your escape from a world ruled by a tyrant but the mix of gameplay, visuals and captivating audio direction is what makes this game special.
Like many other platformers, The King’s Bird can get pretty difficult and with precision and momentum at its core, many challenges await the player. That challenge absolutely works in the games favor though and it’s an easy game to sink a few hours into.

If taking control of a demon summoned from the Shadow Realm in a quest to consume the souls of long-dead heroes sounds like fun to you, you need to check out Shadows: Awakening. An isometric fantasy RPG with some stellar graphics, this 2018 title from developer Games Farm.
Part of the Heretic Kingdoms series, Shadows: Awakening has been praised for its stunning visual environments, real-time tactical combat and gripping story. Taking control of an evil demon that is able to absorb the memories and personalities of the souls they acquire with the ability to materialize them as their puppets, fans of dark-fantasy role-playing games will have a blast with this one.
There’s a lot to love from Shadows: Awakening and it’s a game you have to experience to truly understand its appeal. All in all, it’s a welcome addition to Xbox Games with Gold, even if you haven’t played the other games in the series.
